Yes, exactly that.
There is no part number that I can find for that cap. They come with the vehicle during shipping as part of the PDI, similar to the plastic covers on the brake rotors and the two push pins that keep the air deflectors at the front wheels up during transport.

When I do my PDIs I throw the rubber cover and push pins in the glove box.

But we're not required in the check list to keep it with the vehicle so some techs may assume they're just trash.

Fun story: at the quarter car wash with my M3P, when I sprayed the charge port door it would sense the pressure and motor open the door (because I was too lazy to put it in "Carwash mode"). One time, I accidentally sprayed high pressure water directly into the port. Nothing happened and I drove home fine, but the car refused to charge when I got home. I sprayed compressed air into the port and about 15 minutes later the charger finally was able to ramp up to 40amps again.

I'm not sure why this posted into the wrong thread. Sorry folks.

@DodgeCares Are you able to offer any insights on this plug cover? I checked through StarParts and see no listing. I also double checked through the PDI and saw no mention of retaining it during the PDI.

You may want to advise WiTech to add it says with the vehicle during the NVP.

Well mine went nuts yesterday. I drove home from work on Tuesday and everything was great. I put it on the charger and went to bed. I had a scheduled service appointment Wednesday for alignment and we heading there. I got in to start the car and this happened.

I could not do anything, including turn the car off. I got the check electrical system, check transmission, etc. I noticed the 12v battery voltage was low (11.8vdc) so I figured that was the problem. I attempted to jump it off with a booster with no love. I didn't want to remove the battery, but I had no choice. I removed it and charged it and put it back in and everything returned to normal and I was able to drive it to the dealer shop.

Hopefully the RSU, which is being applied today, will fix it.

So sorry to see this! Please send us a private message with your VIN and dealer so we can help.

New updated list
EDIT: Updated May 2nd
@DodgeCares So far seems like things are happening, YAY!

My issues/questions (so far) are, in a basically order of importance (to me)

  1. (new #1!) Safety Issue - Car does not reliably/repeatably come to a STOP when eCoasting and CREEP is OFF as described in the manual! This has always been an issue, but never really added it to this list. I thought this was something I would/could get used to, but nope, it sucks and is not safe. Let off the accelerator, car slows down perfectly, then as it gets to 3 mph or less it does the friction brake thing and stops. Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes it slows to 2mph and just continues to coast and will not ever stop. If ACC is on, and tracking another vehicle, it stops perfect, every time. Random/inconsistent braking is horribly unsafe!
  2. Safety issue - I am admittedly getting used to this, but I personally still feel like this is not how it should be.
Regen levels reset to some arbitrary default of 1, 2, or 3 after changing drive mode. This is bad, very bad. Once set, it should never change, even after a re-start. This affects braking, heck it IS braking, and the braking changes, as you drive is not safe.
EDIT: and is inconsistent, sometimes "Custom" reverts from 3 to2, and sometimes from 3 to 1, that is even more irksome to me.
  3. Drive mode resets to Auto after restart (and resets regen level from 3) - Again, I'm sued to it, but don't feel like it should be this way, and tied to #2. The ability to have a Custom setup is a great feature of the car, but if it resets, and you have to go through other modes to get to it after a restart is again, not safe. The car drives differently when you re-start it, then before you turned it off.
  4. Main dash display resets after restart/drive mode change. - This is just weird. There are what, a dozen different combinations of displays, and it resets just by choosing Custom or Auto, or restarting your car (I think, I'll double check)?
  5. Powershot requirements -According to @DodgeCares , SOC over 20% and EV Battery Temp over 41°F
BUT, this is NOT what I am experiencing. My car has exceeded those thresholds and still get the message unavailable due to battery level.

It does work almost 100% of the time now that it is warmer and EV battery is consistently over 60°F.
  6. Fratzonic "Exhaust"- Please make some, or all options to do:
    • A setting in Custom Drive Mode for EV sounds and/or startup/shutdown sounds.
    • A special icon somewhere in uConnect to toggle sound (or just startup/shutdown)
    • A quick setting thing at the top on the uConnect same as above
    • At minimum, anormal choice in Settings to turn off "Startup/Shutdown" sounds separate from driving/idle sounds (which are cool).
  7. Race Prep - Drag Mode - Doesn't seem to actually achieve anything. I turn it on, leave it alone for say 10 minutes, and the timer stays at 20:00. every now and then it will go to 19:59, then back to 20:00. Battery Temp never seems to rise.
Track Mode - gives a message about battery level (again, what battery, what level? I ass-u-me it is HV battery temp, but nothing found about it yet.
  8. DXR needs turned on at times. When I drove it this morning I had to open up DXR, then hit "Start Recording". When I drove this evening, it was recording without doing anything.
  9. Screenshot overlays private information. This should be a toggle on/off so people don't have to edit the images to hide their VIN or precise location. Screenshots might be from in your driveway, and you don't want to broadcast that to the entire world.
  10. Screenshot keeps prompting for permissions every drive cycle. The check box does nothing.
  11. Screenshot Odometer overlay - At random times will put distance in Kilometers, not Miles. Seems to "stick" right or wrong for the entire drive cycle.
I will double check and edit this as always if I get more information or if anything is resolved from updates/user error/RTFM...
I know some of this is opinion based, but it is my strong opinion if that means anything or not.

I would just add
Add a special icon on the main screen to access cameras more easy. The rest I agree with.

You can add a button for the cameras on the top of the screen. Can't remember the exact process, but I'll be in the car a little later and will take some pics.

Yes, I do have that, let me peek at my pictures I already have

That would be great thank you!
Ok, just tap the clock. A menu will pop out with instructions. You basically just drag the shortcut you want into the dotted circle where you want it. You can see I already have the surround camera set in mine next to the profile button.

I think we can already do that by pulling down the top of the main screen and changing the icons on top. I replaced the Alexa shortcut with the surround cameras shortcut since I do not use Alexa.

Yeah, though you just tap the clock, you don't have to make a pulldown or downward swipe motion.

Holy how am I finding out about this now 😂😂 thanks a lot

I had a hiccup over the weekend; car wouldn't let me adjust from 100% to 80% max charge - after I'd acknowledge the pop up screen it would select 80% for about a second then revert back to 100%. It charged to 100% as well. Afterwards I clicked the vehicle button and the uconnect set itself to Italian language. Was amusing but could've been worse if I couldn't recognize the characters and get back to the main menu to set the language back to English.

Since then the dashboard screens show a mixture of mph, kmh, KPA, etc. Nothing is consistent to US standards/MPH selection.

I also had my first error codes stating the vehicle couldn't drive and I got the red charging cable image and an error warning about not driving. This was me coming into the parked car, turning it on and attempting to select reverse, car wouldn't go into gear. I also observed a multi-percentage drop in my estimated charge % over the minute or two I tried to figure out what was going on. I ended up turning off the car, locking it and walking away about 50 feet. Waiting about a minute, then coming back. Car booted up normal and I was able to drive home. For what it's worth I have the proximity sensor setting turned off to avoid accidental on/offs.

Outside of this I have noticed, since receiving the car, some inconsistencies when switching driving modes and the cluster screen not swapping to the appropriate gauges - seeing the race or sport images in the dash and hud while in the Auto Eco setting for example. Sometimes it swaps, sometimes it doesn't.

I have not yet gotten the software update, penciled for Thursday.
