Not a good feeling! IF the power reset cleared the symptoms, then it may have been a set of circumstances that caused the car to go into this mode. 1st thing would be to have the dealer check for stored codes. The next thing I would question is can you repeat the symptoms? AKA cause it to happen again? All be it in a safer condition and setting. If its repeatable then it is fixable. Otherwise Intermittent problems are the hardest to fix because they aren't present while diagnosing. We know the these cars still have bugs that Stelantis is working on. The more data they have on our cars as we use them, the better they can apply fixes.

Still, I sympathize with your situation. From one driver to another we have to keep pushing the car on a daily basis and give it a chance to prove itself. Today it didn't, but the fact it came back online after a power cycle at least means it didn't strand you. It is all up to you as to what your comfort level is. I have a very analytical mind and come from a electrical / technical background, so I am comfortable trying these things. From a user/consumer stand point, any issue however it happens means a trip to the dealer and a long wait for your car to be fixed.

Please keep reporting your issues what ever they are because to more we report, the wider we cast the net. Also if there ever comes a time where you notice a good thing about your car report that to. We all like to post the problems, me included. I will also be the first to say that I love my car and have has the pleasure of enjoying ifor about 3 months now!. Yes my car has issues that we are tracking. Yes it has been to the dealer 3-4 times since I got it. I have been without my car for a total of 4 days since I got it, each time I was given a loaner. I am currently waiting on the next RSU/TDU update in hopes that some of my issues are addressed. Until then my car is very drivable so I'll continue drive it daily.

Same. I knew what I was getting into when I bought the car. I just want to post anything I find for the broader community and to see if there might be someone with a solution. Thanks for your reply.

On the upside, after multiple firmware updates (one being a recall) and what looks to be a full reset….my Charger has been extremely stable since. A full week of driving and not a single issue. I also noticed on the dealer paperwork that there is a firmware updated slated for later this year too for improved stability too.

I also noticed that my mile range has gone up or maybe just more accurate.

I welcome the updates and improvements on this car.
