Same.. the non-Plus trims don't have that button on the fob. It sure would be nice if that was an option (even with a manual hatch... just have it pop the release solenoid for us).

Oh I get it, personally, I would not have even considered getting any of these without the Plus group. But the trunk (hidden hatch) release via the fob should be on all cars. Heck, it might even work if a new key with the button is programmed to the car. That would be interesting to find out. Need a tech to try it some day! <cough>< @MoparTechJordan ><cough>

The really stupid part of all of this is that it costs Dodge MORE to have to maintain different variations of the same fob.

Pretty sure My stripped down, base 2006 Charger SE had a trunk release on the key fob, AND a remote release, AND it popped open. Almost 20 years ago, so I’m figuring they’ve got the technology to fix this.

i think while the key fob is blinking red you can't open the trunk. that's an indication you walked too far away or something with the car running

The keyfob on non-Plus models don't have a red indicator on them.

Are you sure? Isn't this that key fob?

The only difference between that and the fob for my Scat Pack with the plus package is the hatch button - the outer frame is the same, including the red indicator which is that little slot near the top.

My scat just happened to not open trunk either. With the fob, button on trunk, and button in car nothing working. Is there solution

I picked up my new Daytona today and the dealer rep couldn't open the hatch again to apply the temp tag - he had put the charger in a few minutes earlier and was locked out. The manager told me there was a recall planned soon, but not a great first impression.

All forgiven with a BIG smile though as soon as I hit the I-205 on-ramp. After having dinner and the car off for about an hour the hatch opened first try.
