I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Rumor has it that it may be available as a "battery first hybrid" so that you get the best of electric and still have the gas engine for long trips or bigger hauling. If so, THAT will be a winner!

If they do have a hybrid version I wonder if they're going to use that new twin-turbo Hurricane inline 6 engine they've been using in the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

I'd think so. It's probably too much of a job for the 2.0L in the 4xe Jeeps, and those are having a MASSIVE recall (like 100%). The problem there isn't mechanical, it's more than likely a control system that doesn't have enough compute power to do the job, or an overworked CANBUS.
