Hello.

I'm looking into purchasing one of those Auto Pro X things I keep seeing online. It's supposed to enable you to launch Samsung Dex on your infotainment screen and you'd be able to watch Netflix or YouTube or whatever you want in your car. I think that would be super nice to have while sitting and charging up at a level 3.

Does anyone have any insight into whether this device will work with our cars? Anyone have any experience with one of these Auto Pro Xs?

This is the device I'm referring to....

I bought it from their official website. Being delivered by Amazon. Should be here in a few days.

Absolutely. I was reading on their reviews that their customer service is really good and they have a 30 day return policy. Believe me ... If it ain't working, they are getting it back. 100 bucks is 100 bucks. Lol

It works! I'm super excited to be able to watch YouTube and stuff in my car now! I'll play around with it more tomorrow. I put it in the smaller screen mode so it didn't stretch the image. I'll mess around with it and see how videos look with it in stretched full screen mode...may look alright with widescreen stuff.

But here's your proof! Now everyone...go spend 100 bucks and be able to use your screen for Samsung Dex.

Note....you have to have a newer Samsung phone with Dex abilities to be able to use this.

Bonus points if you can tell what movie I tested it with ... 😁

Way cool. I'm a huge user of Dex, I even have a Dex dock. I'm ticked they dropped the ability to use Dex in a window on a PC.

And I don't think I've seen that movie.

You gotta watch Need For Speed. Great movie. All of the stunts and driving scenes are real...they tried to use as little CGI as possible. They used a bunch of car bodies with chevy 350s in them for the stunt cars...a bunch got wrecked for some scenes. lol. If you like car movies...this is a must watch! I rank it up there with Gone in 60 Seconds in terms of car movies.

Another great car movie is A Faster Horse. It's a documentary about how the S550 Mustang came to be (2015-2013). It goes into the history of Ford and Mustang and has a bunch of great interviews with people. It even mentions the Edsel in it too. Such a good watch...my favorite documentary I've ever seen.

I gotta try gaming with it. I'm curious how it would work and it there'd be any lag. I'll find one of my spare PS5 controllers and test it out sometime soon. How cool would it be to play the new Destiny or Call of Duty Mobile on your car with the Alpine system cranked up! Need For Speed sounded amazing with the sound system...everything was clear and crisp and good bass with the engine sounds.

The unboxing experience was not bad. I was super happy about the fast shipping. So far ... Love it. It does exactly what I was looking for. I can stream shows and movies right on my screen...all I really wanted for charging sessions and car shows (It'll give the wife something to do besides sitting there bored while I talk car stuff with people.lol).

Update: YOU CAN PLAY XBOX!!!

I played Call of Duty with cloud gaming
Xbox.com/play. I was in my garage with poor internet.. Slight lag, but playable.

Netflix and other streaming apps have no lag. The cars sound system makes movies come alive.
